New Zealand Politics betting has never really been a big thing in New Zealand.
I mean lets just look at the different types of markets Sportsbet has for Donald Trump!:
These are the different markets related to Donald Trump (obviously based in the US).
Of course we’re not here today to talk about Trump (I won’t shutup for hours if we do ;), we’re here to explain the two BEST bookmakers for the upcoming New Zealand election, and include some EXCLUSIVE sign up bonuses with them!
SportsBet
These are the current odds (as of the 15th of August) for the 52nd New Zealand election on SportsBet
As you can see from the above screenshot, SportsBet is offering odds on the New Zealand election, for: “The party to provide the PM after the election”
But the question you’re probably asking is; “who should I bet on?!”.
I personally think the smart money here is on Labour. The reason for this is the recent, One News Colmar Brunton Poll, which you can see the results of below:
We can see that Labour jumped up a massive 13 percentage points in the poll (largely due to the “Jacinda affect“: https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/opinion/95625728/the-jacinda-effect–its-definitely-a-thing).
Now I know a few people will still be saying that National is ahead by 7 percentage points in the pool.
Whilst this is true, if Winston Peters (leader of New Zealand first) decided to go with Labour this election, then it would be safe to assume that Jacinda Ardern would get the countries top gig!
So yes I’d personally put money Labour at odds of 3.25 (at the current time of writing!).
If you use the exclusive sign up bonus below, you’ll get your first bet matched with SportsBet. I’d consider putting a 25 dollar bet on Labour, which would then turn into a 50 dollar bet!
CrownBet
CrownBet is another fantastic Australian bookmaker that was established in 2005, under a different name: “Betezy”. I have done a full review of CrownBet, comparing it to the TAB.CO.NZ here.
This is the current odds that CrownBet offers for political betting, on the 2017 New Zealand general election:
As you can see the odds for each party is slightly less then that of SportsBet. Considering that National is paying 1.28 on CrownBet, where as on SportsBet its 1.30
However CrownBet has a fantastic exclusive offer if you haven’t got an account with them just yet.
If you sign up with CrownBet now, and deposit $50, they will give you a $150 bonus to bet with!
Hope you’ve found the right bookmaker to choose to bet on the 2017 New Zealand general election!
Let me know what you think of this article in the comments!
Cheers!
